Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow is a Long Island based rock band formed in 1976 by childhood friends - brothers Hank and Joey Perez, Mark Phillips and Al Canonico. Soon after, another lifelong friend, Stephen Murphy would join the group rounding out the lineup. Throughout the late 70's and early 80's the group became a fixture on the NYC/LI music scene known for their edgy, original songs and live performances. In 1985, the band was joined on drums by Vincent Perez, the youngest of the 3 brothers. The re-energized 4 pc band armed with new management (which included Tom Cimillo and industry legend Bill Aucoin) signed a publishing deal with EMI followed by a recording deal in 1990. Unfortunately, a restructuring of EMI and subsequent merger with Chrysalis and SBK records left the band label-less, just short of the release of their debut album. Undaunted, Broken Arrow continued to write and perform throughout the remainder of the 1990's. Sadly in 2002, the tragic death of lead vocalist, Hank Perez, all but signaled the demise of the band. However, with encouragement from its loyal fan-base, via the phenomenon of social websites, the band has seen a rebirth. Joey, Mark, Stephen and Vincent carry on Broken Arrow's 30+ year legacy of recording and performing .. while staying true to their roots.

Red Words

Red Words emerged in 2012 when Long Island members Paul Ammendola (lead vocals, keys) and Mark Phillips (lead guitar, vocals) teamed up with close friends, Michael Perrone (guitar, vocals) and John Foote (drums, percussion) to provide music for a church ministry event.  The core group sharpened their skills together leading worship regularly at the church they all attended on Long Island.  Eventually, rounding out the band on bass (as well as, co-producing their two original full-length CDs) is Mark's life-long friend and music collaborator Joe Perez.

Drawing from a vast array of musical influences, the band beats a creative path that’s slightly off center of most Christian artists - an effective hybrid of edgy rock, soulful harmonies, strong pop melodies and gospel infused songs.  By design, this less-than-traditional sound seeks to draw in those less likely to pursue a spiritual path - a sonic signpost pointing to Christ.

The New York-based group performs regularly and has been featured at Central Park (NYC), Creation Fest (PA) as well as, Soulfest (PA). You can find out more about Red Words by following @RedWordsBand on social media.
Their songs are also available for download on iTunes, Amazon Music and streaming platforms such as Spotify, Pandora, & Apple Music.
